2024 Annual Meeting & Installation Luncheon
On September 18, 2024, over 70 women gathered at Batavia Park District's beautiful Shannon Hall to kick off the 2024-2025 year.
The event included networking bingo, the annual chapter update, new officer installation, celebrating our outgoing board members, recognizing new Chi Chapter members, the fantastic scholarship raffle, and our Leadership Panel Discussion on ways to get involved in professional organizations.
Outgoing Chi Chapter President Joan Scovic reported on 2023-2024 events and statistics. The update included the following information:
- Membership increased 15% to 176 members.
- A total of 488 registrants attended the seven events offered this year.
- Social media followers total 435 on Facebook and 98 on Instagram.
- Net operating revenue for the year was $865.83 on a balanced budget of $0 net revenue.
- Scholarship income totaled $2,148.44 while expenditures and payouts totaled $1,158.00.
Outgoing board members were recognized.
- Rachel Hubsch has served on the Chi Chapter board since 2018 in a variety of roles. Rachel was recently elected to serve on the National WILS Board as President Elect.
- Marissa Moravec has served on the Chi Chapter board for two years as Outreach Director and one year as Program Director. She is now serving as the National WILS Secretary.
- Sara Witteck is also leaving the Chi Chapter Board after serving as the Membership Director in 2023-2024.
The new board was installed with a ceremony inspired by the colors of the rainbow. The new 2024-2025 board members are:
- President - Alisa Kapusinski
- Past President - Joan Scovic
- National Delegate - Tiffany Greene
- Finance Director - Breanne Labus
- Membership Director - Colleen Palmer
- Outreach Director - Nicole Derrig
- Program Director - Amanda Kochenash
The scholarship raffle raised $540 thanks to generous donations from the following:
- Glencoe Park District
- Amanda Kochenash
- Northbrook Park District
- Jennifer Rogers
- Joan Scovic
- WILS Board
The final portion of today's event featured a panel of female leaders sharing information about the organizations for which they volunteer. Panelists included:
